Henrik Lagerlund är filosof och författare. Han är professor i filosofins historia och ordförande i styrelsen för Centrum för medeltidsstudier. Han undervisar och forskar främst inom filosofins historia, framför allt medeltiden, man han undervisar och forskar också om matens filosofi. Han är en filosofisk foodie. I sin bok Matens filosofi: Hur du blir en filosofisk foodie utvecklar han begreppet och visar hur man blir en filosofisk foodie. Vid den Filosofiska institutionen driver han också Stockholm History of Philosophy Workshop och projektet The Mechanization of Philosophy 1300-1700 financierat av Vetenskapsrådet.
