This course aims to prepare biology PhD students for life after the dissertation.

The course will cover the academic career (postdoc and early career grant applications) and the non-academic job market. The format is weekly interactive seminars over Zoom which involve invited speakers and interactions with the other course participants. In addition to seminar attendance, participants will also prepare and submit assignments. The course involves the preparation of a personal career plan that in detail outlines the steps required for taking the next career step. The course is given in English.

Priority will be given to PhD students with 50% or less left of their studies. Applicants from outside of the Biology section at SU are welcome if space allows.
