Mathematics education

The research in mathematics education at the department is diverse. Some of the areas of interest among its researchers are; assessment and evaluation, knowledge development over time, multilingualism and mathematics, formation of mathematical concepts, and gifted students in mathematics.

Science education

The division of Science Education is involved in research on science education at all levels of the educational system as well as in society at large. Research spans from studies of education for sustainable development in preschool and public education at museums to studies of teacher change, selective traditions in school, and science learning in multilingual school settings.
