Welcome to a workshop on teaching and learning with Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching (CeUL).

As students navigate an increasingly complex media landscape, they need to how to critique a source and discern its reliability. The world's largest encyclopedia, Wikipedia, has increasingly gained interest from educators as an open site for sharing and learning in academic settings.

This workshop introduces Wikipedia as a tool for learning by exploring Wikipedia guidelines and cases from Swedish and international universities. What does it look like when students are assigned to use Wikipedia to collaborate with their peers, frame academic research to the public, and convey facts to a non-expert audience? Participants will practice the fundamentals of developing Wikipedia assignments and discuss impact on mastering course content, building skills for students' academic and professional lives.
