Social Policy Indicators (SPIN) Database

The SPIN database include quantitative indicators on the generosity, coverage and financing of a large set of social policy programs in 37 countries across the globe. For some programs, data goes back to the 1930s.
 
SPIN is organized in data modules covering different policy areas or geographical regions. Besides the Social Citizenship Indicator Program (SCIP), the SPIN database includes seven different data modules, and also carries out pilot studies on additional modules.
 
Funding for the SPIN database was provided by grants from Riksbankens jubileumsfond (In10-0846:1, IN18-0897:1) and the Swedish Research Council (2021-00162).
