Computational economics bootcamp, 19–22 August 2024 (no credits)
Computational economics bootcamp is a preparatory course in the PhD programme in Economics at Stockholm University. The course is given online via Zoom.
This bootcamp will introduce new PhD students to using computational methods in economics. We will start by introducing the basics in Matlab and go through the most important elements of coding. We will also cover a few more advanced topics towards the end of the course.
Throughout the course, you will have hands-on practice in working with Matlab through extensive exercises. By the end of the course you will be able to use the program in other courses and in your research. This course is aimed at all new PhD students, and is not specific to macroeconomics.
