SULaw's Summer Programme was an invaluable opportunity to undertake courses that are not offered at my home University

Why did you choose to participate in SULaw Summer programme 2022?

I have been interested in arbitration for some time and when presented with the opportunity to study it at SU I couldn’t believe my luck, considering the reputation of the university and Stockholm for arbitration.

Which course(s) did you choose and why did you choose them?

I chose to study "International Arbitration Law" & "The Role of Law in International Politics". I’ve been interesting in learning more about arbitration for several months and SULaw's Summer Programme offered me the opportunity to learn about this facet of the law from the convenience of my home university. Alongside my law degree, I simultaneously study a second Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Political Science and the course "The Role of Law in International Politics" was an interesting opportunity to explore the overlap between my two fields of study. Neither of these courses is offered at my home University and SULaw's programme was an invaluable opportunity to undertake these.

What are your tips and tricks to make the best of the course(s) and your stay at SULaw?

Preparing for the lectures by doing the required readings and arriving ready to engage with the lecturers in my experience were most beneficial.

Why should other students choose to study our Summer programme?

The courses are concise, convenient, and informative, I struggle to think of reasons why not to partake in the Summer Programme.

How would you summarize SULaw Summer programme in 3 words?

Friendly, informative, rewarding.
