The Department of Law at Stockholm university has a valuable partnership with the University of Illinois through an exchange agreement. The triumph of Anton Lundgren Akbarzadeh and Jennifer Boyaci in the 2023 Anderson Center LL.M. Negotiation Competition is therefore an honor for us both universities. It exemplifies the strength of our joint commitment to academic excellence and international cooperation, providing our students with a fantastic opportunity to study abroad for one or two terms during their academic journey.

The judges at the competition praised Lundgren Akbarzadeh and Boyaci for their ability to initially allow the opposing team to have their demands met and then collaboratively push negotiations further on other matters. They negotiated as a united front, and their skilled tactics left a lasting impression on the jury.

We look forward to continuing to promote this successful relationship and the opportunities it provides for our students to excel on the global stage. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those involved, including coaches and judges, for welcoming and facilitating our students' participation in the competition.
