The list includes politicians, researchers, business executives and environmentalists. Johan Rockström comes in at number 11 because he “explains complicated processes and major environmental challenges for a broad public in a way that everyone can understand.” Johan Kyulenstierna “effortlessly crosses borders between national and international topics and among business, research and political inerests” for which he is listed as fourteenth on the list. The jury selects the honourees for “achieved sustainability in relation to actual influence and real power,” among other criteria. The magazine Aktuell Hållbarhet is a merging of the earlier journals Miljöaktuellt and Miljörapporten.
Rockström and Kuylenstierna among Sweden’s 101 most influential people in sustainability
Johan Rockström, Professor of Environmental Science and Director of the Stockholm Resilience Center, and Johan Kuylenstierna, Executive Director of the Stockholm Environment Institute and Adjunct Professor at Stockholm University, have been named among “Sweden’s 101 most influential people in sustainability” by the magazine Aktuell Hållbarhet.
