This inverted microscope is suitable for live cell imaging in 3 and 4D, bleaching (FRAP), photo activation techniques and spectral analyses. It is equipped with solid state laser lines of 405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm and 633 nm. The instrument has three highly sensitive GaAsP detectors of which one is an Airyscan detector. With the Airyscan techniqe you gain 1.7× higher resolution in all three dimensions. Standard equipment for ocular observation of reflected light is present as well as a heating stage and an incubator for controlled temperature and CO2-concentration.

  • C-Apo 63x/1.20 W Corr

The system is controlled by the ZEN blue 2.1 software.

For image processing a separate workstation with ZEN software is available.

This inverted microscope is designed for TIRF applications but is also suitable for live cell imaging in 2D. It is equipped with an OPSL laser 488nm- and a DPSS 561 nm- laser. For acquisition, a CCD camera (Axiocam MRm) is used.  Standard equipment for ocular observation of reflected light is present as well as a heating stage for controlled temperature.

The following lenses are available:

The system is controlled by the ZEN blue 2011 software. For image processing a separate workstation with identical software is available.

An inverted microscope that is suitable for fixed samples, 3- and 4D live cell imaging (simultaneously at dual channels), and microinjection experiments. The system has a climate hood for temperature and CO2 control and a heating stage for variable sized culture chambers. In addition there is a femtojet microinjection equipment from Eppendorf. The UV-light source is a Lambda DG-4 illumination system with external excitation filters. There are two digital cameras, AxioCam MRc with an extra emission filter wheel and a Roper Cascade 1K. The latter is coupled to a dual viewer for simultaneous detection of two channels. An external shutter for brightfield recording enables very fast acquisition of both fluorescence and bright field. Additional triggering signals can be added and steered by a TTL unit.

The following lenses are available:

  • EC-Plan-Neofluar 10x/0.3 Ph1
  • Plan-Neofluar 16x/0.5 Imm
  • EC-Plan-Neofluar 40x/ 0.75 Ph2
  • LCI Plan-Neofluar 63x/1.3 IMM corr (water or glycerol) Ph3
  • Plan-Apochromate 63x/1.4 oil DIC

The system is controlled by the software Slide book for acquisition and image processing.

A separate work station with Slide book is available nearby.

An inverted microscope suitable for colour photos of histological staining in bright field mode as well as for fluorescent samples. The microscope is equipped with a colour camera, and a mercury lamp and filters for UV (Dapi), blue light (FITC/GFP) and green light (TRITC/Ds Red). Some of the objective lenses are specially designed for imaging through plastic and thick specimens (by modulation contrast).

  • HCX PL APO 63x/1.32 oil Ph3

The microscope is a TECNAI G2 Spirit Bio TWIN (FEI Company) 120 kV with a Tungsten filament. It is a high contrast, general purpose instrument that is specifically suited for low contrast samples. It enables exploration of the native state of low contrast, beam sensitive biological specimens, or other soft materials like polymers. It has a BioTWIN low-background single-tilt holder and a Gatan 70° cryo transfer holder. There are two digital cameras: a SIS MegaView III (in-column) and a Gatan US 1000P (under the column).
