Gabriela Czarnek

I earned a PhD in psychology in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Malgorzata Kossowska (Jagiellonian University) and Dr. Michael Richter (Liverpool John Moores University). My work focused on impact of effort mobilization on the increased stereotyping tendency in older age. Thus, my research experience is on the verge of social cognition,  psychophysiology, and gerontology. I also have some professional experience in applied settings. I worked as a psychometrician, where my focus was on modeling personality traits and attitudes, and later as a researcher in the gaming industry where I worked on developing professional simulator (in VR) for firefighters’ training employing advanced physiological measurement.

My current interest concentrates on social psychological research using computational methods and predictive modeling.
