Om mig

Nick Butler började på Stockholm Business School 2016. Han har tidigare arbetat vid Lunds universitet som postdoktoral forskare och vid St Andrews University i Skottland som föreläsare. Dessförinnan utbildade han sig vid universiteten i Warwick, Sussex och Leicester i Storbritannien. Nick forskar inom området organisationsstudier, med fokus på arbetssociologi och kritiska perspektiv på management. Han är särskilt intresserad av att kombinera samhällsteori, filosofi, kvalitativa metoder, och interpretivism. Han är medlem i kollektivet för Ephemera: Theory & Politics in Organization och Associate Editor för Organization.

Nick arbetar för närvarande med ett projekt om algoritmiskt ledarskap, tillsammans med Dr Sverre Spoelstra (Copenhagen Business School) och Dr Emilie Hesselbo (Lunds universitet). Projektet finansieras av Vetenskapsrådet och undersöker utvecklingen och användningen av digitala ledarskapsverktyg i högpresterande organisationer. Nick skriver också om andra ämnen, bland annat spelifiering på arbetsplatsen, forskningsetik, stand-up-komedi och skämtfilosofi.
