Tanushree joined Stockholm University's Department of Economic History and International Relations as a PhD candidate in June 2021. She is affiliated with the MISTRA Geopolitics program. Her research uses critical quantitative methodologies to analyse power and inequality in aid, climate-related disasters and humanitarian crises. Previously, Tanushree worked as a communication specialist and program advisor in Australia and Timor-Leste in the fields of international development, gender, technology, peacebuilding, and environmental management.
Tanushree holds an MSSc in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University (2021) via the Rotary Peace Fellowship program, and dual bachelor's degrees (2012) with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies, a Bachelor of Journalism, and an Honours degree in International Relations (2013) from the University of Queensland.
