    Swedish for International Students

We offer six different levels of Swedish credible courses on a complementary basis, divided from level 1 for beginners to level 6 for more advanced language users.

These courses are eligible for international students admitted to a course, through an exchange program, bachelor/master or an equivalent agreement, containing at least 15 ECTS at Stockholm University. Visiting researchers and PhD-students are eligible for the courses Swedish for International Employees

A placement test is arranged for students with some knowledge of Swedish.

It is not possible to apply to one of these courses if you are not a student at Stockholm University, or will be studying less than 15 ECTS at Stockholm University during the semester you apply for.

It is also not possible to apply for a higher level without taking the placement test or without passing the previous level. Under certain circumstances costs can be associated to this course.

These courses may not be included in a degree at Stockholm University, either as a main field of study or as additional studies.
