Papers

We invite papers (20 mins+ 10 mins discussion) based on empirical data and theoretical and/or methodological contributions alike, and encourage papers that represent interdisciplinary perspectives on issues of languages, nations and contexts. We welcome contributions from a broad range of sociolinguistic perspectives on pluricentric languages, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Interactional perspectives (e.g. conversation analysis, interactional linguistics, interactional sociolinguistics, multimodal interaction analysis)
  • Intercultural and/or cross-cultural communication
  • Language attitudes
  • Language policy and planning
  • Linguistic justice, ownership and responsibilities
  • Non-dominant varieties of pluricentric languages
  • Variational pragmatics
