The first is to understand how the two sets of teachers understand year one children’s learning of basic number. The second is to identify issues for inclusion in a questionnaire for later use in the project. While some preliminary results have already been written for conference presentations, the analysis continues and is expected to take several months.
Teacher Interviews
April - October 2017. The analysis of teacher interviews is ongoing. The interviews, 19 in England and 20 in Sweden, yielded a total of more than 350,000 words, which is a lot of data to read, interpret and code. The analytical process has two principal objectives.
