According to the earlier decision the Department will mainly conduct all teaching and examination on campus during spring semester 2022, but from the new directives from the Public Health Agency as of the 13th of January 2022 and the University Management as of the 14th of January 2022 follows that the earlier decision will be revised as below.

New decision by Head of Department

After consultation with the Deputy Head of Department, the Head of Administration and the Work Environment Representative the Head of Department has decided that all teaching and examination at the department will be net-based during the period from the 17th of January until the 11th of February 2022.

After this period the earlier decision will be valid. The earlier decision was valid for the period from the 17th of January until the 20th of March but will now accordingly be valid from the 12th of February until the 20th of March unless additional revisions are called for.

The reason for this revision of the earlier decision is a communication from the Chancellor as of the 14th of January, in which the University Management emphasizes the importance of limiting the number of meetings in person during the first part of the spring semester due to high expected spread of the disease. The interpretation of the University Management of the scenario presented by the Public Health Agency the 13th of January is that the departments should be more restrictive regarding campus-based teaching particularly during the initial weeks of the semester.

The Management team of the Department will continuously follow and inform about the developments and the guidelines we receive. As a part of Stockholm University the Department will of course observe the directives, rules and recommendations of public authorities and the University Management. This decision might have to be changed at short notice depending on how the situation changes.

Stockholm University urges all students and employees to get vaccinated if possible, and follow the advice of the Public Health Agency of Sweden to prevent the spread of disease. According to the recommendations of the Public Health Agency you should stay at home in case of suspected Covid-19.
