The course "Research and theoretical and analytical perspectives in Public Health Sciences" (PH019F1) will provide knowledge in four public health related areas.

Course content

The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge in the Public Health Sciences with a social science perspective. The course covers concepts, theoretical approaches, analytical methods, and links to current research. The course covers four interconnected knowledge areas within Public Health Sciences related to: a) the level and distribution of health and ill-health; b) health determinants; c) the impact of politics and policy measures on health; and d) public health practice, including prevention, intervention, and health promotion.
