Arrival information

Here you can find practical information about key pick up and how to get to Stockholm University.

 

Key pick-up

The keys are collected from the Service Centre in Södra huset, hus D, floor 4 (next to the Universitetsbiblioteket).

Please note that keys can only be collected on the first day of your contract at the earliest. Students are advised to collect their keys on the day of arrival. If you arrive later, you can collect your keys any weekday during your tenancy during the Service Centre's opening hours.

Getting to Stockholm Central Station

From Arlanda Airport (65 km north) you can reach Stockholm Central Train Station with the Arlanda Express train, the airport coach, or commuter train.

From Skavsta Airport (100 km south) you can reach Stockholm Central Train Station with the airport coach.

From Västerås Airport (110 km west) you can reach Stockholm Central Train Station with the airport coach.

Getting to Stockholm University from T-Centralen

T-Centralen is located next to Stockholm Central Station. Take the red metro line towards Mörby centrum and get off at Universitetet.

A single trip on the metro costs around SEK 40. If you are a student, we recommend that you wait to buy another ticket, as you can get a discount if you have a student card. 

Discounts

If you are a member of the student union, you will receive a student union membership card, which also serves as a student ID card and can be used to obtain discounts such as student rates at SL and SJ.

Please note that these discounts are only available if you are studying at least three quarters of a full-time course. If you do not wish to become a member, you can order the Classic Student Card from the Student Union.
