Carla Caponio
About me
Carla Caponio, PhD student in Professor Mika Sipponen group.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Environmental Chemistry in 2020 and my Master's degree in Material´s Chemistry in 2023 at University of Pisa, Italy. During my master thesis internship I worked with nanomaterials for biomedical applications and this experience encouraged me in pursuing a career in research.
As a PhD at Stockholm University, I will work under the guidance of Prof. Mika Sipponen in the sustainable material chemistry group (SUSMATCHEM). My project aims to develop novel bio-based personal care and food products from lignin within the FORFUN project.
