About me

Since September 2022 I have been working as a Doctoral Researcher. I am employed at the Institute of Theatre Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and work both in Stockholm and Munich.

During the academic year 2023-2024, I am a visiting doctoral student at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics in the frame of the Erasmus+ scholarship programme.

Research

My PhD project analyzes on the history of amateur theatre and its contribution to fostering citizenship between 1780 and 1850 in Sweden.

I am part of the European Research Council-funded research project "Performing Citizenship: Social and Political Agency in Non-Professional Theatre Practice in Germany, France, Britain, Sweden and Switzerland (1780-1850)" at the Institute of Theatre Studies at LMU in partnership with The University of Warwick.

My research interests include theatre and performance in the Nordics (with particular focus on Sweden), critical historiography, theatre and democracy, as well as questions around theatre ethics and accessibility.
