About me

My research interests mainly revolves around how agriculture has been impacted and how agrarian societies in Sweden and other parts of Europe have adapted to climatic change and variability from 1500 until today. Currently, I am involved in a project that investigates climate adaptation in the broader northern Baltic region during the years ca 1500–1900.

In my research, I have primarily utilized quantitative methods drawn from diverse disciplines, encompassing both the natural and social sciences. These methods include time-series analysis, data homogenization, clustering, and GIS techniques. Additionally, I have incorporated methods from the humanities, such as historical source criticism. My expertise extends to a wide range of data sources, encompassing published data from the natural and social sciences, as well as the generation of new data through independent archival research. This comprehensive approach has enriched my research and allowed for an interdisciplinary perspective.
