Pablo Rodriguez Mateos

About me

Pablo Rodriguez-Mateos is an Early-Stage Researcher and Postdoctoral Fellow at Prof. Pamme's group at Stockholm University. His research centers around developing lab-on-a-chip platforms for pathogen analysis in resource-limited settings.

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Master’s in Advanced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. In 2018 he moved to the UK to pursue a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Hull through a Marie Skƚodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Innovative Training Network (ITN). During that time, he worked on microfluidic approaches for pathogen separation, preconcentration and detection.

He is Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (AMRSC) and has contributed and participated in multiple international conferences such as the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS2019), International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (microTAS2019-2021), World Microbe Forum (WMF2021) and Africa International Biotechnology and Biomedical Conference (AIBBC2021).
