Fashion beyond "sustainability": the concept of flourishing in a case study

My ongoing thesis explores how companies can practice fashion without necessarily being within the framework of economic growth, thus benefiting the environment and people. I do this through case studies divided into two parts, where the first part consists of a visual and textual analysis examining how companies communicate messages about sustainability and consumption. The second part consists of an autoethnographic analysis where I myself participate as a consumer to investigate what happens in practice.

I base my arguments on the theories Flourishing by John Ehrenfeld with a focus on being and caring and Storytelling by Douglas Holt. In addition to these theories, I adopt the concept of Earth Logic by Kate Fletcher & Mathilda Tham, which among other things strengthens my hypothesis that we collectively need to move towards less consumption.
