About me

I am a biogeochemist working to investigate the interactions between biosilicification processes and the environment. Currently, I focus on how post depositional diagenesis impacts these interactions throughout the Earth’s history. Changes in global silica cycling over long timescales may provide information about the variations in climate over geologic time.

Interests Include: Global and Local Silicon Cycling, Stable and Radioactive Si Isotopes, Natural Abundance and Isotopic Fractionation of Si, Production and Dissolution of Biogenic Silica, Reverse Weathering Processes, Silica Authigenesis, Pore Water Systems and Sediment Sorption Capacities.
