About me

I primarily engage in conversation and interaction research, with recurring favorite themes being how influence and participation are achieved in everyday and institutional contexts. Currently, my research focuses on how sexual consent is portrayed in contemporary films and TV series (link).

Previously, I researched the opportunities for participation in slide show presentations during interactions between organized citizens and politicians. Additionally, I have written about how joint decision-making is achieved multimodally in cooking interactions, as well as citizens' invocation of life experience in letters to the Minister of Integration. In my dissertation, I examined young people's rights-to-decide in decision-making in participatory democracy meetings from a social-deontic perspective.
