The Swedish Arctic Fox Project is funded by research grants, funds form companies and private individuals besides being part of larger EU projects. Examples of such EU projects were Felles fjellrev I and II which was a conservation and monitoring program in colaboration with the county board administration in Jämtland, Västerbotten, the countys of Sør Trøndelag, Nord Trøndelag and Nordland as well as Norsk institutt for naturforskning (NINA) the Norwegian Environment Agency and the World wildlife fund, WWF.

At the moment The Swedish Arctic Fox Project is a part of an EU funded Interreg-project which is a collaboration between Stockholm University, Norrbotten county board administration, Norsk institutt for naturforskning (NINA) and Metsähallitus (Finland).

The research and activities of the Swedish Actic Fox Project are financed by research grants and EU grants, and receive both financial support and equipment from organizations and private companies.
