Research project Ag + Beachwrack, Reduction of nutrient load and conservation of biodiversity

The research is performed in the coastal areas of the Baltic Sea.

The project will include specific measures to utilize more beachwrack  from the beaches, harvest and restore resources and thus reduce the supply of nutrients to the coastal waters and thereby improve the water quality. The project will be conducted with regional collaboration together with farmers. The aim of the project is to evaluate practical initiatives to reduce nutrient leakage to the Baltic Sea.
