Research project Biocatalytic membranes based on lignin nanoparticles

The overarching purpose of LIGNOMEMB is to use spherical lignin particles to develop new biocatalytic membranes for enzyme-assisted chemical reactions and separation processes.

LIGNOMEMB

To better understand these emerging materials will study formation and intraparticle morphology of lignin nanoparticles, and develop methods for non-covalent enzyme immobilisation on tailored lignin particles to equip membranes with activities for environmental remediation and chemical engineering processes.
