for Food Security, Adapting to Climate Change, Sustainable Resource Management and Inclusive Development

The programme’s overall objective is to increase the quality and use of fisheries and aquaculture research produced, including by women for improved food security, climate change adaptation, poverty alleviation, sustainable resource use and inclusive development in Tanzania. To that end, specific subprojects are meant to mobilise resources and sufficiently engage different stakeholders including fisherfolks in sustaining research outputs, strengthening research collaboration for improved development of fisheries and aquaculture subsectors. The project has been ongoing since 1996.
