Research project Distance teaching in the Mother Tongue subject

The study engages with the abrupt shift to distance teaching during the corona pandemic. What significance did this shift have for students and teachers?

The aim of the project is to contribute new knowledge about the prerequisites of Mother Tongue Instruction - the teaching of minoritized languages within the Swedish school curriculum. More specifically, the study engages with the abrupt shift to distance teaching during the corona pandemic, which first concerned only the Mother Tongue subject, and the significance of this shift for students and teachers. Data are based on video-recordings of lessons, screen shots from chat forums and teacher interviews.
