Research project IMAGINE – Implications of Alternative Management Strategies on Marine Green Infrastructure

The IMAGINE research project, on the management of marine landscapes, ran until 2020 with funding from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

The aim of the research project has been to investigate how successful ecosystem-based adaptive management of marine green infrastructure can be designed. The researchers have assessed the impacts on the marine ecosystems under different scenarios of human activities and the legal conditions to handle these pressures to ensure the conservation of green infrastructure in the sea. The project has been carried out through a collaboration between experts in ecology and environmental law.
