Research project Public and private in the legal system

Doctoral project about public and private in the legal system and how this systematic distinction has evolved.

This doctoral project is about public and private in the legal system and how this systematic distinction has evolved. The overall aim of the project is to explore the theoretical and practical premises of this distinction. The legal system is therefore studied from two different perspectives: on the one hand, the relationship between public law and private law will be studied from the perspective of the social context including the legal system, and on the other hand, how legal doctrine has understood the development and portrayed the systematic division as we know it today.

The project can be expected to provide new knowledge on the determination and function of legal systematics and thus also to contribute to the discussion on the connection between legal systematics and the problems involved in applying of law.
