Research project Subjects of Violence
On Gender and Recognition in Young Men´s Violence Against Woman.
The dissertation is about ypung men´s viiolence against a female partner (or several), and about their experiences of violent relationships. In addition to love relationships, Hanna Bornäs also touches on young men´s relationships with friends and parents, and has studied how violence seems to reproduce itself between different relationships and contexts.
Hanna Bornäs' study is based on interviews with ypung men based on how they understand violence and what feelings are associated with practicing violence. She has also explored their ideas about, for example, being a heterosexual man, as well as thoughts about sex and consent.
