Research project The Regulation of Discharge from Liability

In this project, the rules on discharge from liability and its legal effects are studied, a subject which is at the intersection between company law, corporate governance, and tort law. The Swedish regulation of the discharge institute and its legal effects are analysed from a comparative perspective. The purpose is to gain knowledge regarding the differences and similarities in different legal systems concerning the legal effects of discharge from liability in jurisdictions where this is a legal practice and to show if there is any merit to changing or clarifying the current regulation on discharge from liability.
