Research in ancient Greek literature at Stockholm University covers the whole period from Classical and Hellenistic Greek to Late Antiquity and the later Byzantine era.

Studies are often carried out in close connection with editorial projects and historical and cultural research. Topics have included ancient comedy, Pindar reception, stylistic devices in classical and post-classical prose (such as the use of maxims and anecdotes in rhetoric), ancient literary commentaries and anthologies.
