Research on cultural creativity has been versatile, ranging from studies of worlds of art and (world)literatures to experimental forms of writing in different styles and genres.

Studies of global art worlds have, for instance, dealt with the cultural impact of Irish dance, art training in Tanzania, and exceptional experiences of art. Researchers have advanced literary anthropology – methodologically and theoretically - through studies of global future scenarios, Irish literature, migrant writing in Sweden and Nigerian writers’ worldmaking. In addition, researchers have engaged in creative collaborations with artists: making films, curating exhibitions and giving talks at galleries and exhibition spaces such as Accelerator at Stockholm University, where “art, science and social issues meet.” This outreach also includes engagements in writing and publishing in different experimental writing styles and genres, including not only academic prose, but also autofiction and creative nonfiction, often drawing on field experiences.
