Advanced Real Analysis II

This course is a continuation of Advanced real Analysis I, where in the measure theory part the structure of measures is studied and in the functional analysis part more specific operators are investigated.

Contents in more detail: Complex measures, Radon-Nikodym theorem, dual spaces, weak topologies, adjoint operators, operators on Hilbert spaces, spectral theory of compact operators and bounded operators in Hilbert spaces.

  • Course structure

The course consists of one element.

    Teaching format

Instruction is given in the form of lectures and exercises.

    Assessment

The course is assessed through written exam and, for grades A or B, also oral exam.

    Examiner

A list of examiners can be found on

  • Schedule

The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.

The course has changed codes and at time of writing the schedule is still booked in the old course code. Also, the location for the lectures will change from what is currently shown in the schedule.

You can find the schedule for the older version of the course here (but please look again at the correct schedule closer to the start of the course, so that you don't go to the wrong place):
