The international conference Languages, Nations, Cultures will take place on 22–24 May, 2019, at Stockholm University, Frescati Campus, Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism.
By bringing together scholars who work from a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives, as well as representing a wide range of languages, the conference also aims to stimulate and further our theoretical understanding of the conditions that exist between different (national) varieties of the same language and how nation and culture is constructed in and through language.
Workshops on the following themes are planned: Address in Pluricentric Languages; The Theory and Description of Pluricentric Languages – Beyond Concepts of Dominance and Non-Dominance; Interactional Perspectives on Pluricentric Languages.
