The University’s internal nomination and selection process

Stockholm University can nominate 16 candidates of which 8 must be recruited internationally and 6 of the underrepresented sex. Each department can nominate any number of candidates, but the distribution between internal and international candidates must be as follows:

  • If one candidate is nominated there is no restriction; the candidate can be internal or international, male or female.
  • If two candidates are nominated, at least one of them must be international, and at least one female, and so forth with even numbers of nominations
  • If three candidates are nominated, at least two of them must be international, and at least one female, and so forth with uneven numbers of nominations

The completed nomination forms are to be sent by the head of the department or equivalent to sofia.irinarchos@su.se before 18 October 2024. These “pre-nominations” are reviewed at the scientific discipline level within the Academic Areas for Human Science and Science respectively, who will select among them based on the Foundation’s assessment criteria. Nominees prioritized by the university (decision will come early December) may develop full applications as stipulated in the guidelines for the call. The University nominates its final 16 candidates by February 15th, 2023. All nominations go through the Office for Research, Engagement and Innovation Services, who will also submit the documents to the Foundation.
