In case of emergency!
1. Stay safe and take steps to prevent further personal injury.
2. Call 112 and summon ambulance, police and/or fire brigade.
3. Call the campus guard on 08-16 42 00

If a student disrupts the activity, you as a teacher have the right to ask the student to leave the room. If the student refuses, you should call the campus guard (08-16 42 00). Only the police and guard service have the right to physically remove a disruptive student. If a student starts to attack you or another student physically, you do of course have the right to defend yourself (right of self-defense) but hopefully it will not come to this.

If a situation arises where you ask a disruptive student to leave the room, they refuse and it becomes an unsustainable situation for everyone involved while waiting for a guard/police officer to arrive, you should instead cancel the lesson. If necessary, you can request an escort on the campus directly from the security guard, who will accompany you to the car, bus or metro.

Report to the head of department

Incidents such as these must be reported to the head of department, who in turn reports this to the disciplinary committee, which may lead to the student being suspended. The head of department is responsible for employee and student safety. They have the right to decide on further handling of the matter.
